Key Rules for predicting competitions

  1. How Many Predictions Per Competition?

For each competition, you get to make 5 predictions. These could be about things like who will finish in certain positions (e.g., 1st, 2nd, etc.).

  2. Points You Can Earn

This is based on how accurate your predictions are. Here's the breakdown:

    • 7 points: If you correctly predict the winner (1st place).
    • 5 points: If you correctly predict 2nd place.
    • 4 points: If you correctly predict 3rd place.
    • 5 points: For predicting the 11th place (called a "Joker") or answering a custom question related to that.
    • 3 points: For correctly predicting things like the best Estonian participant, Estonia's overall position (especially in relays), or a custom question about Team Estonia.
  3. Extra Points for Close Predictions

If you predict someone to be on the podium (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) but they're not exactly in the spot you guessed, you still get 1 extra point for each correct podium appearance.

For example: If you predict an athlete for 1st place and they actually finish 2nd, you get 1 point as a bonus (in addition to any other points you might earn).

  4. Other Important Details

    • You can submit predictions for each competition separately, so you don't have to do them all at once.
    • Once a competition starts, your predictions are "locked" and can't be changed.
    • All participants' predictions become visible to everyone right when the competition begins.
    • The "Estonian" and "Joker" questions can still change up until 12 hours before a competition starts. After that, they're locked in for everyone.

Leagues

Create a private league to compete against friends, or join one with an invite code. Each league has its own leaderboard, scoped only to its members. The creator can delete the league; anyone else can leave at any time.
